Edmonton Oilers Defeat Los Angeles Kings 6-1 in Game 6

The Edmonton Oilers took a commanding 3-1 lead in their Western Conference semifinals series against the Los Angeles Kings on Monday night, defeating the Kings 6-1 in Game 6 at Rogers Place.

The Oilers opened the scoring just 2:30 into the game when Connor McDavid found the back of the net. The Kings answered back with a goal from Anze Kopitar later in the period, but the Oilers regained the lead in the second period on a goal from Leon Draisaitl.

The Oilers extended their lead to 3-1 in the third period on a goal from Evan Bouchard, and they added three more goals in the final minutes of the game to seal the victory.

Kopitar scored the lone goal for the Kings, and Jonathan Quick made 26 saves in net.

The series will now shift to Los Angeles for Game 7 on Wednesday night. The Kings will need to win the game to force a Game 8 in Edmonton on Friday night.
