Magic Fall to Cavaliers in Game 2, Trail 2-0 in Series

Franz Wagner's 34 points not enough to overcome Darius Garland and Evan Mobley

The Orlando Magic fell to the Cleveland Cavaliers 96-86 in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series on Thursday night at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. The Magic now trail 2-0 in the series and will need to win Game 3 at home on Friday night to avoid falling into a 3-0 hole.

Franz Wagner led the Magic with 34 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome a strong performance from Darius Garland and Evan Mobley. Garland finished with 25 points and 11 assists, while Mobley added 21 points and 10 rebounds.

The Magic were able to keep the game close in the first half, but the Cavaliers took control in the third quarter. Cleveland outscored Orlando 30-19 in the third quarter to take a 12-point lead into the fourth quarter.

The Magic were able to cut the lead to seven points in the fourth quarter, but they couldn't get any closer. The Cavaliers hit their free throws down the stretch to seal the win.

The Magic will now need to win Game 3 at home on Friday night to avoid falling into a 3-0 hole. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM ET.
